We organized our quarterly review meeting in early July 2025 at the Technology Resource Centre (TRC) in Sukkankollai village, located in Chengalpattu district. Designed as a residential event, the meeting brought together staff members from all CIKS locations. Away from the bustle of city life, the team immersed themselves in the serene atmosphere, enjoying the fresh, crisp air and nourishing meals prepared using traditional rice varieties cultivated on our farm.
The review featured a range of sessions reflecting on the organisation’s journey since its inception, key milestones, and strategies for future growth and development. These sessions were especially valuable for newly joined team members, helping them connect with the organisation’s vision, areas of work, and the impact it has created over the years.
The gathering also offered a platform for team members to understand each other’s roles and responsibilities more deeply, strengthening inter-team relationships and collaboration. A visit to the farm allowed participants to observe and learn about the latest practices and experiments being carried out at the TRC.
The dedication of our field assistants and the women’s team who manage the field activities was recognized and celebrated during the meeting. The quiz conducted by the director proved to be one of the most enjoyed sessions, thoughtfully designed to evoke and celebrate the organization’s memories since its very beginning.
