Capacity Building in Indian Knowledge Systems

On March 4th, the Department of Physics, Dwaraka Doss Govardhan Doss Vishnav College, in collaboration with CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research, New Delhi, hosted a National Workshop on Capacity Building in Indian Knowledge Systems. Eminent speakers like Prof. M.D. Srinivas, Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi, Dr. V. Aarthi, Dr. Charu Lata and Dr. Paramananda Barman shared their expertise, making the event a knowledge-packed and informative. Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi from CIKS delivered an insightful presentation on Building on Traditional Knowledge and Resources for Sustainable Agriculture, highlighting the importance of indigenous wisdom in modern farming. In session 1 Covered topics like Revitalizing Siddha Medicine by Dr. V. Aarthi and Communication & Dissemination of Indian Traditional Knowledge by Dr. Charu Lata, with Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi sharing her expertise on sustainable agriculture. This session was chaired by Prof M S Sriram President, Prof K V Sarma Research Foundation, Chennai In session 2 featured Dr. Paramananda Barman, who conducted a hands-on training on IKS Communication.
