As a part of Women’s Day Celebration, 2014, Rotary Club of Sirkazhi presented “Innnovative Women Award” to Mrs. Subhashini Sridhar of CIKS. This was in recognition of her services to the cause of agriculture.

Gandhigram Rural University, Tamil Nadu, conferred an Honorary Doctorate on our Co-founder, DR AV Balasubramanian. This was in recognition of his contribution relating to alternative science and technology.

Dr.K Vijayalakshmi was recognised as an “Expert in Indigenous Technology Promotion”, by Lions Club, Chennai. The award was presented by Lakshmi Kannan, District Chairperson on World Women’s Day.

Another national level recogntion for us, in 2005, as Council for Advancement of People Action and Rural Technologies (CAPART), New Delhi, recognised CIKS as a Technology Resource Centre for Organic Farming, and supported us with grants for work on organic farming.
National recognition for CIKS by Min., of Science
In 2002, we one became one of the 23 organizations to be recognised nationally, by Science and Society Division, Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and we were supported with grants for programs and equipments from 2002 – 2018.
